PLEASE HELP!! We are asking all our friends on Facebook to try and help us out. Eve and I rescued an abandon puppy on the Interstate last year. Her name is Lucy. She has been spayed and is a very healthy girl. She is very athletic and loves to run and play. She is a clown and has a funny personality and lives to play and MOST OF ALL get a treat. She handles perfect on the leash and is a very good girl. In addition she has become a great watch dog with a deep voice. Our problem is she weighs about 45 pounds and she plays to ruff with our little ankle bitters. Rowdy is the Twistavants shop dog who goes everywhere with me. He injured his back knee in March and required surgery. Three days after returning home he reinjured his leg again as well as his ankle. We had to have surgery again and Rowdy is having a slow recovery.

This weekend Lucy was playing with Rowdy and hurt his leg again by accident. We have 5 other rescue dogs but they are all small Yorkies and poodles. She is just too big to be a good fit with the little guys. I know Lucy would make someone a great companion. She is able to throw the ball in the air and catch it. She even has a way of rolling the ball down her back and flipping it up in the air to catch. She would make a champion freebie dog.

We have to find her a home ASAP before she accidently hurts Rowdy playing to ruff. It’s going to be hard to give her up but Rowdy is the “Little Man” that runs our house.
Please if you know anyone who would give her a chance let us know. I know they wouldn’t be sorry she’s a one in a million girl. Please help us if you can.

Twistavants hopes everyone is having a good summer and staying Cool!! Update on Rowdy, he is starting to use his back leg some after his surgery, more for balance. We got a small pool big enough for all of us to get in and we have been making Rowdy swim daily to help his leg. What a swimmer he is and he loves it.

Lucy loves the water also, when we turned our backs Lucy climbed on the retaining wall and jumped in head first. Lucy is the ultimate swimmer, she loves the water. Still looking for a home for Lucy so if anyone knows someone who would like to help please let us know, She is a good girl and needs someone to give her a good home. She is very playful but too ruff for the ankle bitters.

Just an update on Lucy and Rowdy. We haven't found a home for Lucy yet but we think maybe we need to give her dance lessons. She is such a clown and wants to dance when music is going in the background. Also she has shown us how to play with the tennis ball. She will throw it on the patio and bounce it up and catch it in midair and then she is able to roll the ball down her back and catch it. If we don't find her a home soon I think we are going to fall head over heels in love with her.
Rowdy is still having trouble from his surgery. He injured his ankle only two days after his knee surgery so my little guy has had some very painful days. Keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery

Just to let everyone know Rowdy injured his back right knee two weeks ago jumping and had to have surgery yesterday. All of us at Twistavants were beside ourselves worried about him. It’s kind of lonely without him here! When he is not here the factory is just too quite!!
The operation was perfect performed by Dr. George Jury at Southwest Animal Clinic. Dr. Jury said it would take several weeks before he would be able to put any weight on his injured leg so please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recover.
Our thanks and hearts go out to Dr. Jury for doing a great job!
His first night home was ruff but he jumped up the next morning and was ready to go to work. He has a very important job here at Twistavants and that’s to say Howdy to anyone who walks in the door.

Please help us find Lucy a home. Free to a loving home, 1 year old female mix breed dog. We found her lost on the Interstate as a small puppy. She’s been spayed; has all her shots and comes with a dog house. Lucy is approx. 55lbs and is a true comedian - sadly our house is full of 10lb dogs with no sense of humor. We fear a disaster is in the making. Please take a chance on the funniest dog you will ever meet and very, very smart. We love her, but our pets do not. She gets along with other dogs and cats. We have supported and provided funding for the Haven but Lucy is SPECIAL and needs to be the only one or with a larger dog.
