Most of you know that I had a bad fall in June of 2025 and have since had mobility issues due to knee pain even after surgery my condition remains un-improved. I apologize to all my customers that I have not been at the shop except for some weekends. I have an excellent medical team working on me, but I'm having a difficult time. I have some "Good Days", but even those are far from normal. I am hiring help and will attempt to be open for our regular schedule by April 1st. Thank you for understanding. Stay Well.

We are finally OPEN!
Thank You all for your wonderful words of encouragement. It has been no easy task to make this happen at my tender age of 67. I was rather enjoying retirement... but bored to tears, LOL. We were looking for a location in Greenport for 6 years. The "pandemic lockdown" sidelined all of us for 3 years, but I knew it was a sign from God when this location became available right next to Ralph's Ices, (considering that we were right next to Ralph's Ices for the better part of 30 years in Freeport.) I loved and still love, Freeport... but all I can say is, "We should've made this move 20 years ago!" In just 3 Weeks we have already surpassed our total sales from the whole final year we were open in Freeport in 2018, that was a depressing year. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends, and loyal customers. All the Love is overwhelming. Thank you all so much!
Hope to see everyone soon. Although we are now OPEN for business, we will be having our official "GRAND OPENING" at the beginning of next season 2024

And so another of life's adventures has come to an end. Not with a bang, but with a whimper. A quarter of a century on the "Nautical Mile" in Freeport is over... and yet as one door sadly closes, another happily opens, and our "New Adventure" in Greenport begins.

Everything cycles, and my time on the "Nautical Mile" in a town I've called home since 1974, has cycled out. Unfortunately we must move on and hope for the best. Due to my age, I can no longer afford the luxury of waiting for the next great waterfront resurgence in Freeport.

Our regular hours are done.
Please call first, but we will try to be open:
Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
12:00 Noon to Sunset until further notice.

But I would hurry down if you want to pick up that item you've been dreaming about for years, or just say goodbye. Time is limited.
Or you could just wait until next year and visit us at our new home on Front Street in Greenport NY. We will be re-opening there in May of 2019... God Willing!

I've made many friends over the decades. Most left years ago... too many to mention by name... but I can assure you of one thing... we will miss you all, and hope to see you again one day. Thank you all for 25 wonderful years. Goodbye...
