The bottom line: Fewer polling places and long lines at the polls could lead to voter disenfranchisement. Help ensure a fair election by volunteering to work the polls if you're able.

Let’s make sure we don’t have a shortage of poll workers for early voting and Election Day. Poll workers tend to be older, which means they’re more vulnerable to COVID-19. And since this pandemic isn’t under control yet, a lot of them are understandably sitting this one out. Fewer poll workers could mean fewer polling places and longer lines. So here’s what we need: more people—especially young, healthy people—to do their part for this country and volunteer to make sure this election runs fairly and safely. It’s one of the most crucial things you can do for our country right now. If you can volunteer, I hope you’ll do it. Sign up at PowerThePolls.org.
