Washington Outfitters & Guides Association opposes the "planting" of grizzly bears in the North Cascades National Park

Jesse Ginter (Sawtooth Outfitters) keeping an eye on trail riders on Ride To Rendezvous 2019

Saddle up, Cowboy: the 21st Annual Ride to Rendezvous returns next week from the Washington Outfitters & Guides Assoc.!

Monday-Friday, May 6th-10th: The ride includes teamsters and trail riders (bring your own stock or rent from the outfitters). You can even ride in a wagon! You'll spend the week riding historical routes through the Methow Valley. Volunteers will move your gear each day and set up camp kitchens for meals. Hay is supplied for your horses, and each evening there will be a campfire and entertainment. Bring your guitar; everyone is welcome to participate. The conclusion of the ride parades through downtown Winthrop; kicking off the annual 49er Day Celebration.

Speaking of which... THE 31ST ANNUAL 49ERS DAY PACKERS RENDEZVOUS is Friday, May 10th-12th, including display camps, vendors, live auctions and steak dinner with bites from all the outfitters kitchens. The dinner is followed by an evening “Around the Campfire” in the Winthrop Barn; the outfitters themselves will be entertaining with music, songs and poetry. A western family dance will follow. Sunday Morning they host a Buckaroo breakfast followed by the packer’s competition and live auction.
