Bringing back all of my monthly Talavera inspired styles is officially on the agenda for 2026. Last year, I left off with Noviembre, and this year my goal is to continue filling in each missing month, one design at a time.

That means it’s time to introduce the newest addition to the Mi Cultura Collection 2026... “JUNIO”!

As many of you know, the colors and inspiration behind these designs come from my absolute favorite Talavera mugs from Maria's Artisan Shop ! If you haven’t visited her shop yet, you’re missing out! From stunning Talavera dishes and colorful mugs to gorgeous leather purses and a wide variety of artisan goods, there is truly something special waiting for everyone. Didn’t make it out this past weekend to grab this new design? It’s LIVE now! ♥️

This design was inspired by the lyrics of this song & my dad. My dad would sing this song to the T and he even changed the tones of his voice and all the things just as it sounds (the second picture is him singing 😊). I couldn’t help but add the simple details, the gold beak and a touch of shimmer on the wings (it’s as close as I got to this part of the lyrics) , it just seemed like the perfect design to put together as I sat listening to the playlist of this specific earring making day. This year will be my first year without my dad on Father’s Day, & I caught myself talking about him all weekend during markets. (So if you asked about a design and you got a story, thank you for listening 😊)

A lot of times I get asked about some of my designs, sometimes I choke up and give a short answer and other times I will let it go. Whatever the situation maybe, just know everything I do, design, make and create, I do it from the heart.
