Wild Women NEPA Festival 2026
Yesterday reminded me that sometimes what I create has very little to do with balloons. ❤️
I watched people stop in front of this little space I created and make memories.
I heard, “We haven't had a picture together in forever.”
I watched moms, grandmothers and grandchildren pile in together. I heard, “Really? My hair looks terrible!” and “I don't look good today.”
And every single time I said take the picture anyway and most did !
Your hair doesn't matter. What you're wearing doesn't matter. Whether you feel like you look your best doesn't matter.
Someday, that picture might matter a whole lot.
Everyone looked fabulous, of course. 😉
But more than that, they looked happy. They were laughing, pulling each other into pictures, putting their arms around one another and stopping for just a minute in the middle of a busy day.
That's the magic of a photo opportunity to me.
I created this setup for Wild Women's Festival hoping people would stop and take pictures. I don't think I realized how emotional it would make me to actually watch it happen all day.
I teared up more than once. Happy tears. The kind that remind you, oh... THIS is why I love what I do.
And then there was my mom.
Watching her help me, hearing her tell people about my business and seeing how proud she was of what I've built meant more to me than she'll probably ever know.
So today I'm not just grateful for the opportunity to create something beautiful.
I'm grateful for the connections. The smiles. The moms. The grandmas. The daughters. The friends. The “we haven't taken a picture together in forever.”
I'm grateful I got to create a little place where, for a moment, people stopped.
Take the picture.
If you took a picture with my photo opportunity and want to post a pull out, please share your photos. 💕
