I’d love to introduce one of our new shop brujas! Grateful for her support and work, our tiendita is livelier because of her 😍

Our new brujia loves pink, enjoys sewing and embroidering, likes a good arm bangle ✨ and is a fanatic of beaded jewelry! Natalie is a preschool teacher, activist, Meximalist 🇲🇽 and in her own words, “a down ass foo for my community”. You’ll find her across town doing various volunteering efforts, specially those benefiting indigenous people and spaces.

She’s hilarious, beautiful, HUGE heart, and intelligent beyond measure! Come say hi and get to know her 😘

Starting March 10th: we are trying out extended hours for Tuesdays and Wednesdays so now our shop hours are Tuesday through Saturday 12-7pm and Sundays 12-5pm. In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re gathering at the tiendita to create something powerful.

Women are some of the most sensitive and intuitive beings on this earth. We carry energy, emotion, memory, and the wisdom of those who came before us. Because of this, protection and grounding are not luxuries 😭 they are necessities 🙌🏽

March 08th from 12–5 PM (walk-in) we’re hosting a Mal de Ojo Protection Roller Workshop.

Participants will blend essential oils, protective herbs, and crystals to create a roller they can carry with them. Together we will also call on the energy of the ancestors through a short prayer to bless, protect, and seal the oil.

If you’re someone who absorbs energy easily, this is a beautiful tool to keep close.

Some of you may have noticed I haven’t had the heart, mind, or capacity in my body to show up on the feed the way I used to.

I’m still here. I’ve been active in stories. I’ve been focused on advocacy, sharing resources, and doing what I can in real time for the people who need it most.

I was on the news twice a couple of weeks ago during the strike. With that came a wave of hate and some truly nasty voicemails at the shop. Hearing people say vile things about you can shake your foundation. I won’t lie, it hurt.

But I kept my head up and I kept going.

I’ve been called a lot of things… but never a republican 😂 so we persist.

Even with the crushing weight of the world, this little tiendita and community space is still here for you. If you need a place to land, to breathe, to gather yourself, come by.

And if you cannot make it in person, you can shop online 24/7! Your support is what keeps these doors open.

Tomorrow Yolia Botánica will be closed in participation with the strike.

Spirituality and justice work have always been siblings. Prayer without action is empty, and action without spirit burns us out. I am a healer, a community builder, and an advocate. Fighting for our people runs in my veins. This moment is political and it is deeply personal.

I will still be at the shop during the day doing admin and working on new stock, so if you need a place to sit, regulate, or just not be alone, you are welcome to come by quietly and keep me company.

From 2:00–2:30pm I will be at the federal building offering a community limpia and prayer for protection, strength, and collective courage with

Then from 5–7pm we will reopen our doors for a free community workshop to make your own incense cones. After all this rage and grief, we have to alchemize. We have to move energy through our hands, our breath, and our creativity. There is nothing more powerful than doing that in community, in a space where we feel safe.

If you have extra paper plates, a coffee grinder we can borrow, herbs, spices, or ground cinnamon you would like to contribute, I will gladly receive them.

When we were in school learning about historic atrocities, so many of us wondered, what did ordinary people do while it was happening? This is our time to answer that question with our actions, our voices, and our presence.

We protect each other. We pray together. We create together. And we show up. NO WORK. NO SCHOOL. NO SHOPPING.

This is a space for rest, resistance, remembrance, and reconnection.
You do not have to carry everything alone.

Tomorrow we are holding a free community limpia because the world feels heavy and our spirits deserve care too. We do what we can, when we can, with what we have. And right now, what my tiendita can offer is presence, creativity, and gentle grounding.

If you find yourself at home holding grief, anger, anxiety, or helplessness, we invite you to redirect that energy into something intentional and healing. Instead of focusing on what we are not supposed to buy or support, my Tiendita is opening space for a creative and gentle energetic transfer rooted in care, justice, and community.

From 12 PM to 4 PM, you are invited to create a free custom tea light candle for justice, peace, and unity with herbs and crystals. All ages welcome. All materials provided.

At 4:15 PM, I will personally be joining the downtown protest. I will return to the shop and reopen the space at 5:30 PM for our free community limpia, including a grounding meditation and sacred herbal cleansing to help us release, reset, and regulate together. We will begin inside the shop if space allows, but if the circle grows, we may move into the parking lot, so sweaters, blankets, or anything cozy to sit on are encouraged.

This is not about perfection. It is about showing up in the ways we can. Your presence matters. Your heart matters. Your healing matters.

I’m offering a simple, walk-in candle ritual to help you release what you’re ready to leave behind before the new year begins.

You’ll dress your own chime candle(s) using herbs, oils, and crystal chips, guided by intention recipes — no experience needed. Ages 12+.
