For Sale: Booth 95 at Music City Drum Show 2026

The Sound Room is booked solid, but I have Booth 95 available for the full show (July 18th & 19th).

Location: Great spot in the main expo hall - next to Hero Drumworks and Cympad and across from Sonor/Mapex.

Price: $450 for both days

Status: I have official approval from the show organizers to transfer this booth to a new renter.

Sonor Slotted Rods - Is their day over?

After checking a "Big" US retailer's website and looking at every single brand new SQ2 shell set or snare drum on Reverb, I made a startling observation: U.S. Dealers are NOT ordering SQ2s with slotted rods.

Wanna guess how many SQ2 offerings I found with slotted rods offered by US dealers? 40%? 25%? Less than 10%?

1! Not one percent. 1 snare drum.

Everything else I saw was either square rods or from Japan—and even the Japanese sellers seemed split 50/50 between the slotted and square offerings.

So, what does this tell us?

[]Does your typical buyer no longer see the virtue of legacy Sonor appointments?
[]Is it just too big of a pain to use slotted rods in a modern workflow?
Are they an actual deal-breaker at the point of sale?
I would love to know what the actual percentage is of buyers using the SQ2 Configurator who are still opting for slotted over square. Even Todd Sucherman mentioned he wanted slotted but conceded to his tech's urges since you can't actually find slotted keys that fit in a drill.

And why isn't Sonor offering those? It's 2026. How can a flagship line not offer what you would expect to be a standard tool for maintaining a drum?
