Bookends: Literature & Libations Independent bookstore coming to Ybor City in 2026. Renovations began summer 2022, with a planned opening in 2024. Yes, it is that simple!

Tampa natives Laurie and Teresa Rodriguez are proud to announce they have secured a structure in Ybor City for the future home of Bookends: Literature & Libations. Join us as we work our way through the romantic misadventures of the Owens women, beginning with ‘Practical Magic’ by Alice Hoffman on Saturday the 27th and see what a cursed love life really looks like! We’ll be meeting each month to discuss a book in the series leading up to the release of Practical Magic 2 in theaters in September.

We had two big winners today-the Golden Ticket was found and Creative Loafing’s Ray Roa was on the winning team that ate 50 Cuban Sandwiches for the contest. The Bay Area Book Crawl winner will announced Sunday 4/26.

Though we initially planned to be open for the big day, our storefront hasn’t been given the final sign off yet, but our mobile bookstore will be at the J.C. Newman’s Founder’s Day celebration on the 25th.
