The Cure for Anxiety: Matthew 6:25-34
Man I can’t tell how tattooed this is in my brain. But we are human , and humans mess up; in fact “However, we also know that humans make at least three mistakes (usually 5-7) every hour that they are awake, increasing to 11-15 per hour under extreme stress or fatigue.” …( according to The University of Texas at Austin report.) now I’m not sure how accurate the numbers are because i think mine would come in a little higher,lol.
However, the point Jesus was trying to make to the people around him was mainly about getting them to aim their focus better. To put to rest their anxiety, you know the stuff we get put on medication for today????? That if he takes care of the birds of the air, and he keeps the grass of the fields clothed; and knowing how much more important we are to him as children of his , that he wouldn’t take care of every situation if we just shift our focus off of ourselves and our situations, and turn them back towards Jesus.
If we can learn as believers to fill ourselves up with his word and the Holy Spirit, the rest of this worldly stuff will not have room to exist in our lives . But when the first thing we grab is our phones and see what we have missed, it starts a snowball affect, and the enemy has a play day with us and we stay too busy with that, we can’t be productive. ( that’s my wife’s quote btw) …” if the devil can keep u busy , he can keep you from being productive for the kingdom.”
So spend time to get in your word , ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what you are reading that day, in fact keep him welcome in your house by telling him to come in and fill the place up. Just build on your relationship with God. It doesn’t have to be an hour long production. Just be yourself and give the first fruits of your day, before the world comes in and start your day with God .
PS: yes i know the irony in my message and social media lol , but its just one of the ways God uses us!!!!!!!
