Here's some fun candles! A beautiful large Peony, candle sticks, and a few 🇨🇱Texas dough bowls! I love adding the dried botanicals for a pop of color! 💐

Beekeeping battles keep me going!💪 A horrible storm came through last night. We just got the wind💨. I knew, I better make sure the bees where all upright. Only one out of 21 hives was knocked over. I'm grateful and thankful that was the only damage done.🙏
These double deep boxes hives can weigh well over 100lbs. 😫
The hive is back together now and we carry on! ❤️🐝🐝🐝

It's been a struggle year!😭 Bees will be bees and the most important thing about beekeeping is taking care of them. This means you don't take rescources from them that they need.❤️
🔹️We have finally gotten substantial rain, but the drought has set the bees back months. Instead of three months without a nectar flow, it's been six months. This has been the case for most beekeepers across the west Texas area.🔹️
😫I'm usually working on my second harvest at this time. It's bee farming at It's finest!
The good news is it's coming!🐝🍯 It could be a couple of more weeks, but it's happening, finally. It will be worth the wait to enjoy that sweet, pure, golden, goodness!

🐝I had a little extra time yesterday to practice some grafting. I say practice because I don't really have any expectations of the outcome. I'll be happy if one queen cell takes. I will continue to practice until I'm successful.
❤️The goal is to take a 2-3 day old larvae and put it in the little orange cups. These cups will go into a queenless hive. The bees will form queen cells from these little cups.
⭐️This will be cost efficient and I will be able to requeen or replace queens as needed. In time working on great and gentle genetics. 🐝👑
