We sent Richard off to San Diego armed with Graftech rods, Penn Fathom reels, and Giro jigs in hopes he might land a Yellowtail on a one-day trip. Instead he brought his first bluefin tuna to gaff on the Giro Darter in Katy Perry color (yes Katy Perry color) and also landed a yellowfin on the same trip. There's also Dorado on the kelp in one-day range. This season is going to be insane! El Nino conditions in May. Come get equipped!
