Sunday evening chores! Tonight we joined Dad at the other farm. Our second milking facility is also a tie stall, milking around 80 cows. The cows are fed and the equipment is sanitized before anything else starts. The milk house is the name for the room that houses the milking equipment and bulk tank. We have 6 milking units that hook up to a pipeline. The pipeline pumps the milk through the barn to the bulk tank, the large tank that holds and cools the milk. The stalls and floors are scraped clean. Then we are ready to begin milking. 🐮🥛

It’s a Saturday afternoon! The sun is shining, the grass is green, the garden is planted, and the kids are playing together in the backyard. Just over our picket fence our beautiful ladies are grazing quietly!
This is peace. This is hard work. This is success! 🐮🥰🥛
