[email protected] That and I like to be my own boss! When I am out “picking” I will see sewing rooms of unfinished garments and things waiting to be repaired. This is my inspiration! I make things out of vintage linens and fabrics, giving them a new l

ife. Many times that means cutting around holes and stains, dying and manipulating the fabric. I make my own patterns along with ones from shabby designers like (like Tina Givens) I also recycle clothing using it as you would fabric, making re-fashioned garments. Some of what I use: Old lace, vintage buttons, tablecloths, napkins, old upholstery, embroidery samplers, silk scarves, vintage ties, Quilts and any scrap left in that old sewing room! Along with me behind the Seams Is my main man, who if you’ve met him, know he likes to go by “ Seams”- he’s the one who irons, washes and turns the seams.
