Let’s go Lent! Doing my 40 bags in 40 days challenge again this year. Day 1 & 2 bags of towels, sheets and animal stuff that I’ll take to St Hubert’s. If you haven’t given something up, maybe take on this challenge…and a get a jump on spring cleaning.

It’s February! Time for the late winter session to start & time to spread a little love to my sewist co-workers & students! I pulled out the last bit of my hipster lumberjack beaver fabric to make a few special valentines for the “sew bros” my all boy group of sewists!

Thank you to all my friends and family who came out and supported the Maker’s Market. I sold over 60 pairs of mittens-wow!- but I still have quite a lot of stock if anyone is looking for a cozy pair of upcycled cashmere and wool mittens made by me! $40 a pair and completely machine washable. Hit me up and I’d be happy to deliver locally!

One pink gingham clad Barbie about age 7, gave her mother the dirtiest look when she saw my pink gingham clad “dog-ter” in a much nicer homemade dress!

I’m calling it finished! I started painting this box when a Alice & Walter were visiting, but the rain has been deterring my view. That and the view/light/clouds are ever changing. Acrylic paint isn’t my usual thing, but it’s not bad for a folk artsy, kid friendly project!

I had so much fun stitching up this funky neon record fabric into a for the fabulous Victoria’s birthday. I found some cool lucite yellow handles online and figure she could use the bag to bring her crochet projects to work

The by has become my favorite birthday gift to make & give! I’m particularly fond of the bright fabrics by by I’m considering selling them this year. I’m also thinking if teaching a class…opinions? Anyone up for a fun project class?

Holy cow…I’ve been busy! Lots and lots of sewing camp including a few weeks with my nieces as campers…and my oldest niece, Annie working as a CIT! Mostly helping kids with their makes. But this week I’m going to endeavor to show you the projects I’ve been working on!

Five shows in four days….and going to see the interactive David Hockney tomorrow! What fun! I’m so glad I finally saw the longest running play in London. And I had a blast at the interactive (if you have kids they’d love it).

Paid a visit to the Fashion and Textile museum to see the Andy Warhol textile exhibition. Worth the price of admission…and a close walk from Burrough Market a must “eat” stop for me whenever I visit London.
