“Nuance” soap mold caught the lilac bloom this spring 💜
The old peach silicone liner gave way to a softer lilac shade, the kind of color you’d find beside dried flowers, soap oils, and wooden shelves in a quiet studio. If only molds could carry the same lilac aroma 💟
Photos hardly catch it properly, but in person it adds one of those understated luxurious touches you end up wanting in your studio.
And if lilac isn’t your shade, liner colors are still open to custom requests.

There’s a moment in soapmaking when the whole studio wakes up. The scent is there, the slab is ready, your hands are steady, and the cutter starts to glide….

Happy Easter 🌿
Spring doesn’t ask for attention, it just quietly changes everything.
The light shifts. The air softens. Colors return, but not loudly… more like a whisper. That same feeling (and my new obsession with green tones) found its way into these new liners: earthy sage (my fav), cool eucalyptus (completely accidental color when we fail to make sage but too pretty to be ignored), and our soft lilac blossom that will replace the main peach color in “Nuance” line. It feels right. Herbal, grounded, familiar like the kind of soap that feels honest before you even use it.
Just like our beloved Groot mold peachy tone, these colors don’t compete. They step back. They let your soap be the story! Only enhancing what’s already there.
Because the best tools don’t steal the show.
They make everything else look better. Coming mid April (cause we got orders to make duuuh). Truly yours, Alex&Alex artisanal soap making

Aaaaand CUT! 🎬 Yesterday you saw the teaser.
Today you see what six months of design and building looks like. Meet the “HARVESTER”

This started as a project for a soapmaking factory that needed a way to cut slab soaps while keeping the decorated tops clean and intact at production speed (they chose our Argo molds and the machine is specifically designed for them)

A custom solution that may become the first of many.
If all goes well, we plan to release these for other soapmakers later this year.

Well that’s very “revolutionary” 😮‍💨
I doubt we’d come up with that much praise for our own tools.
But truth be told - it’s a lie 🍎
Here’s what we actually believe.
Our tools don’t make you a better artist.
You already are one. ☝️
A tool should stay out of your way. Feel solid.
Work the same every time.. Let your hands do what they already know how to do.

Sobbing 😭..
Our first real layoff. Our first real shift.
Clear plastic molds are officially retired.
This one hurts.
They’re the molds that made us known.. the very first went to - do you remember?:). Since then, we’ve built thousands.

But the market shifts. And so do we.

We’re keeping one clear mold - our “Arium”
Now redesigned with full 4-side coverage. Easier to use. Stronger build. Better insulation. More sizes coming.

We’re making a move. It’s the right thing to do.

It’s Christmas today, and this soap has been waiting for its moment. 🎄✨
We’ve wanted to make this one for a long time, but only found a quiet moment on Christmas Eve to finally make the magic happen. When we created the Nebula soap mold, we imagined endless design possibilities — and that unique shape was the final spark for our imagination.
For this swing / spin / swirl technique, Alex made a special soap mold divider that let me pour multiple colors with ease. The soap thickened faster than expected, so the spin alone wasn’t enough — we had to bring in the stick to finish the swirl.
We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and hope you enjoyed watching the process as much as we enjoyed making it.
Or maybe… you’ll get your own Nebula mold and try it yourself. 😉
