Some days I come in here just to sit. No agenda, no plan, no pressure to produce anything. Maybe I pick up my crochet hook. Maybe I work on a puzzle. Maybe I decorate a journal page or just enjoy a good conversation. Maybe I enjoy the quiet.

This little lounge is the first thing you see when you walk into NaRose and that’s intentional. Rest before you create. Breathe before you make. You belong here before you do a single thing.

I even added my own crochet pillow to the couch because of course I did. 😄💜

Let me tell you how this actually went.

I pre-cut my macramé yarn, threw it in the bag, got in the car for a road trip, and decided, I’m going to make this now.

I rigged it up by hooking it to my bag, and made my very first wristlet en route. Then I got to my destination, spotted a woven ottoman, clipped right onto it, and made two more.

I started the day as a macramé newbie and by the time I arrived I was obsessed.

A class is definitely coming. Stay tuned. 👀

Four years in a row I’ve offered a crochet class through my company’s United Way campaign. This year we skipped the basics and went straight to granny squares.
I walked in with low energy. I walked out full.

Every single person in that room got their slipknot on the first try and I celebrated like it was a championship, because it was.

They helped each other, laughed at the hard parts, and kept going anyway. Different skill levels, same willingness and that combination is everything.

I’ve seen what happens when people come together to make something with their hands. The room changes. You change.

That’s what we’re building at the studio. Come make something with us. 🧶💜
