Reason Behind Upper Room

This sweet boy was born 5 weeks early and has Tracheomacia (when your trachea collapses on itself) and Cutaneous Mast Cell Disease. This is what Mast Cell looks like. This was from being in a grocery cart and his body not liking either a chemical product the store used.

Because of this disease, it’s been my goal to make my house as clean as possible in a practical, affordable way. Not everything triggers him but when it does, this is the result. People say NICU babies change you but I’ve made it a personal goal to let it change me for the better. To bring awareness to other mamas without the fear that attaches to it. It’s out job to stick together. It’s our goal to help one another and bring joy to those around you. I’m hoping the products I make can do it 💕

Some days I wonder why I do what I do. Some days are hard. This past year especially has been so difficult. Trying to navigate parenthood, life and now hobby work life… You start to grow weary and start to wonder if you are making a difference in the world.

Annie came to the market with me yesterday. It was one of those days too 😂 but our sweet neighbor gave her a few simple items and I told her, you need to write her a thank you letter. Little did I know how much that would change her day, perspective and love.

I’m always praying, seeking and hoping for wisdom on how to parent my children. It’s so hard in today’s day and age where social media is everywhere, busyness swirls around and it just seems little bit more dark… but then I remember why I named this business the ”Upper Room Homestead” and why Acts 1:13-14 is the verses we clinge to. They joined together in constant prayer awaiting Holy Spirit to come down onto them but they didn’t know yet he was coming.

This is a representation of the Upper Room. All people coming together.. no matter what their ethnicity is or where they come from. The Upper Room is more than just a place… it’s a moment before a part of the trinity entered into this world to dwell within us.

It doesn’t matter how small or old you are. Rich or poor. Ethnicity. Your life matters 🙂 Jesus died for each and every one of those people and that’s the reason we do what we do. So thank you 💕

Bees do far more than make honey. They are responsible for pollinating many of the fruits, vegetables, flowers, and plants we rely on every single day. In fact, about one out of every three bites of food we eat exists because of pollinators like bees. 🌎💛

Without bees:
🌸 Many wildflowers wouldn’t bloom
🍎 Crop production would drastically decrease
🌿 Ecosystems would struggle
🍯 Natural beeswax and honey wouldn’t exist
