I was doing some reflecting tonight as we get closer to our second anniversary here at Whips Garage.
Sometimes I joke that I should write a book about this journey.
Not because we've figured everything out.
Not because we're some huge company.
But because if you had told Aaron and I two years ago what this little shop would become, we probably wouldn't have believed you.
When we opened the doors, we had a building, some tools, a dream, and a willingness to work hard. Beyond that, there were a lot of unknowns.
There were days when the phone barely rang.
Days when we questioned whether we were making the right decisions.
But there were also milestones that we'll never forget.
The first customer.
The first repeat customer.
The first month that gave us hope.
The first employee.
The first mower sale.
The first time we looked around and realized this wasn't just a side dream anymore. It was becoming a real business.
Over the last two years we've worn more hats than I can count. Mechanic. Salesperson. Bookkeeper. Marketer. Janitor. Problem solver. Sometimes all before lunch.
We've made mistakes. Learned lessons the hard way. Celebrated wins that probably seemed small to everyone else but felt huge to us.
What I'm most grateful for isn't the growth. It's the people.
The customers who gave us a chance when we were brand new.
The customers who came back.
The ones who told their friends and family about us.
The community that has supported us every step of the way.
As we get ready to celebrate two years in business, I'm incredibly thankful for every repair, every sale, every conversation, and every person who has walked through our doors.
The story is still being written, but these first two years have been one heck of a chapter.
Thank you for being part of it.
