July - September around here means being exhausted, overwhelmed and questioning life decisions. That’s when the majority of the harvests are coming in and have to be preserved while also tending, weeding, mowing, baking, etc.
But we persevere and are paid off with jars full of quality, homegrown foods that feed and nourish others.
I just loaded the canners for the third time today with greasy green beans and now will start baking and making for tomorrow’s farmstand booth 65 restock at Blackberry Hills Vendors Barn in Stanford.
