Community wasn’t something on the forefront of my mind when I joined Norwex. 🌎

I joined to earn extra income and wanting more flexibility in my life. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

However-the community we have in our team is like no other. We truly support each other regardless if it’s personal or business.

🧽The featured Problem of the Week is Grout!🧽

Finding the right option to clean your grout can be frustrating. Honestly there have been moments that I was about to just give up ever having my grout clean. Either my hand would cramp up or the handheld scrub brushes would give out. My shower grout is pretty small so most of the time those handheld brushes didn't get into my grout anyway!

Then there's the whole problem with wanting nontoxic options. One quick search on ewg.org for grout cleaning reveals no products graded higher than a D. 😐 The top of those health concerns are respiratory issues, possible cancer and organ effects.

Well there's always natural options right?

Grout is very porous. This means it is best to avoid using vinegar or acid-based cleaners, especially on unsealed grout. The acid can actually dissolve the grout’s top layer! What!?!

Or maybe you have tried an oil based product or wax to help maintain it. Oil-based or wax-based cleaners on grout can be absorbed into the grout, leaving a sticky film that can attract more dirt!

🧽The featured Problem of the Week is Grout!🧽

Confession time! It was only a few years ago that this was my go to cleaning tool for my grout - a toothbrush. 🙈 It took me forever and my hand would cramp up so badly too. To top it off, I would make up a paste of baking soda and..... brace yourselves... BLEACH! Did it get my grout clean?

Yes.

Was I able to breathe?

No.

In fact, this chore would take me all day because I had to step away so frequently for what I called "breathing breaks." Our bathroom has no ventilation besides a window so the bleach smell would linger for days. It occurred to me, there has to be a better way! I knew it wasn't healthy if I couldn't even breathe or would immediately start sneezing from the bleach fumes.

What about you? What has been your go to for cleaning grout in your bathroom or on your floors? Do you use a special tool?

The featured Problem of the Week is Grout!🧽
You know your grout needs to be cleaned, but ugh! It’s such a time-consuming chore that’s hard on your hands! You could use a harsh solution to help do the job, but you don’t want to coat your floors in harmful chemicals. And besides, who knows if those ingredients could damage your grout or tile? It’s not worth the risk!
