I've been stitching for more than 30 years and I started making homemade soap nearly 3 years ago. The best part is that I get to do this with my daughter who is only 8 years old. She already has a love for stitching and loves to help make soap and other products. That is where the name My Lil Smidget comes into play. Smidget was a nickname my husband gave to her when she was an infant as it seemed

to be the perfect word to describe her...she was just a little smidget! So since she always is there to pitch in whether it is to mix soap, help out at farmers market, whatever the case may be...I ended up naming my shop My Lil Smidget where we love stitchin' & soapin".
