Tucked near the blooming beauty of the Dallas Arboretum, my artwork now rests on the walls of the Lochwood Branch Library — waiting to be experienced, collected, and carried home by those who believe art should feel like something.

April, But Make It Legacy ✨

April wasn’t just a month—it was a masterclass in alignment, visibility, and purpose.

From full-circle moments with my art on exhibit at the MLK library—where my love for books first took root—to having my work on exhibition at Lochwood… this season reminded me that seeds planted in quiet places do bloom loudly.

Being honored among phenomenal women at the Ordinary Women Doing Extraordinary Things awards, stepping onto a panel at my alma mater SMU for Founder’s Day, and pouring into community at the Black Unity Summit… every room carried intention, elevation, and connection.

And witnessing 50 years of legacy with the Kappa Mu chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.? Whew. That was history, pride, and power wrapped in one.

Huge thank you to my glam squad for coming through right on time— for taking me last minute and making my locs look lovely, and on Facebook for the makeup and lashes… she slayed, okay! 💅🏾✨

April stretched me, filled me, and positioned me.

Grateful. Grounded. Growing.

✨ I took a chance on my art… and it said YES back to me. ✨

I entered Johnny Depp’s The People’s Artist contest… and guess what? I GOT IN!! 🎨🔥

Whew… let that sink in. From creating in my own sacred space to now being in the running to be seen on a whole new level. This is what happens when you bet on yourself, even when it feels scary.

Now I need my village 🤎
Starting May 4th, I’ll need your votes to help me stay in the running and keep this dream moving forward.
