The Genre of Modern Motherhood | Nicci Arnold Nicci Arnold
We have 2 copies of this edition of 50 signed books. As the title states, it’s a visual diary where each week she curated a moment from her life and turned it into a woodcut print. The series went through the early throes of the pandemic and covers the highs and lows of life from making grilled cheese to her dog getting cancer. It’s a deep slice of life expressed thourgh Arnold’s signature graphical style.

This is a must-have for artist book and print enthusiasts alike.

Modern Carapace “O Bounty of They Ribs” | Jacob Kuddes jacob
This beautifully-drawn comic is colored with dusky orange hues complemented with occassional cool sky colors and cool gray outlines. It tells the story of Esther Wheatley, a park ranger who pilots the giant mecha Tarantula Hawk to protect kaiju from poachers. The book started during a season of pandemic-era unemployment, and is the first in what will be an ongoing series. Grab your copy now.

Our gratitude goes out to all the artists and viewers that came to the opening last night of Low Vis and Plane Sight.

The turnout and energy was great. We got to enjoy some of the best art you can find in this region, plus some folks bought art and Evan and Stacey's new artist zine.

The opening reception for Plane Sight is TONIGHT from 5-8pm.

Each piece was selected by the juror based on thematic relevance, concept, formal qualities, craftsmanship, and originality. The result are 14 outstanding works by 11 artists, with works from Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, New York, and Oregon.

Visit, experience the work, and talk with the artists. See y'all tonight ✌️
