There are still 52 dogs housed at the facility that need adoption or foster before the 18th of December.⁣
⁣
CARE STL is in need of some remodeling and repairs that must take place and because of the scope of work the dogs should not be housed here for that time frame.⁣
⁣
If you have ever thought of adoption, NOW is the time!⁣
⁣

SHORESY is ready to GO!⁣

This fella loves playing, loves his treats, and loves on everyone he meets (ahh rhyming!)!!!⁣

Seriously, he’s a good boy and is looking for his furever home.⁣

At a little over a year old, he might be beat with bigger children as he is a little unaware of his strength and tends to bound around. However, you can bet that he will love on you and be your best buddy!⁣

🦮 Meet the Pet of The Week - GHOUL! 🐾⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Ghoul is the cutest little pocket pup! He is currently a green level at the shelter, which means he's easy to walk and good for newer volunteers.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Ghoul recently went on a straycation and he was very curious...listening to every noise, watching every motion, and smelling every smell. He was timid the first night, with his tail between his legs and crouching low when walking by an unfamiliar sound or sight. However, the next day he was more confident and his body language was different. He walked into his crate multiple times to lay down for a few mins, started showing interest in multiple toys, started running a bit in the backyard, and was wagging his tail instead of tucking it under himself.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Ghoul has so much potential, and just needs someone patient to go at his pace. It'll be worth it too! Ghoul showed that he has so much love to give, especially enjoying climbing up on the couch to snuggle and be a velcro dog.⁣⁣

🐈 Meet the Pet of The Week - McConaughey! 🐾⁣⁣

McConaughey (also known as Bennie) is such a sweet and talkative man! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
McConaughey was just returned to us due to him being diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disease and the special food/diet and medications that come with that, but that doesn't stop this man's zest for life and affection! ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
McConaughey does require some medications every few weeks when he has a flare-up, but according to his last home, it is manageable with his hydrolyzed food, probiotics, and pre- flare-up medication. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
McConaughey would do best as the only cat in a home since he is FIV+.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
McConaughey is a wonderfully handsome boy looking for his next furever home!⁣⁣
