Celebrating Him Today. Because everyday is Father’s Day.

Several years ago I went to a popular greeting card franchise to find a card for my father. I was expecting an entire aisle of cards to choose from. But unfortunately what I found was an end cap with a limited selection And no, I did not find a card that adequately addressed the unique nuances of our relationship. So like most of the folks who visited the shop that day I grabbed a genetic card because that was better than leaving empty-h anded

In hindsight, I realize how different this scenario would have been if it were Mother's Day. So, men, I agree that historically Father's Day has not received the emphasis it deserves. That is why I was so encouraged to see all of the Father’s Day tributes this year.

Like mom’s, your daily contributions and sacrifices often go unnoticed. So Angel’s Bookshelf has decided to celebrate the the remainder of the year. There are no Daddy PTO days. So we're honoring you again today and every day. Because every day is Father's Day.

In conjunction with our celebration of Father’s this month, Angel’s Bookshelf will air a 2 Part Live Stream this week entitled “Father’s Legacy. “ The focus of the program will be to reach out to individuals experiencing feelings of grief, loss, and abandonment and those who support them during this holiday season. As many of you know, my sister and I lost our dad last year. So I want to share some of the resources and tools that have benefited me as I walk through the grief process and move forward in honoring his legacy.
