Joe has several years of experience and can offer a wide range of services related to essential upkeep of your piano. All piano manufacturers recommend regular tunings 3 to 4 times the first year- and then twice a year thereafter. To maintain a piano at maximum performance, an internal pitch of A-440 is advised. This can be maintained only with regular tunings. Whether played or not, a piano needs to be tuned to prevent possible interior damage due to the tremendous pressure on the strings.

Hot and humid midwest weather will affect the way your piano sounds. High levels of moisture in the air will cause the soundboard to swell.
These effects can raise or lower the pitch of the keys and strings respectively. When extremely high humidity levels are present, rust may also become an issue.
With regularly scheduled tunings, we will ensure that the weather won't have a lasting effect on your pianos!

Did you know that heat can cause your piano strings to grow??
Warmer weather also prompts the wood in pianos to grow and become somewhat distorted.
With the warming temps, its a great time to schedule your next piano tuning to have it sounding performance ready this summer!
