The internet has spoken. šŸ’€ Apparently just posting a photo of the finished soap wasn’t enough… you guys needed to see the cut. So after this pouring video went viral again, I finally filmed the cutting process and reveal.

This entire batch was actually a custom manufacturing run for a client, but I couldn't resist finally giving the comment section what it wanted.

Was the reveal worth the wait? šŸ‘‡

šŸ¤”Did you know that a lot of handcrafted shampoo bars are actually just regular cold process soap?

Using true soap on your hair can cause long-term damage. Soap naturally has a high pH, but your hair thrives in a slightly acidic environment, with a pH between 4.5 and 5.5. When you use a product with a high pH, it opens up the hair shaft, creating drag and friction that leads to frizz, tangles, breakage, and scalp irritation. šŸ™…šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

That is why our solid shampoo bars are completely soap-free. They are formulated at a pH of 5.2 using gentle, coconut-derived surfactants instead of saponified oils. You get a rich, foamy lather and a gentle wash that actually keeps the hair cuticle smooth and protected.🫧

It’s šŸ”„Heat Tunnel TimešŸ”„

Each artisan soap wrapped in biodegradable material hits the heat tunnel to be shrink wrapped before labeling.

This provides a package that keeps your soap fresh and free from environmental dirt & bacteria before it reaches your shower 🚿

Lately, as I’ve been on social media, I’ve noticed that the algorithm, of course, is fueled by engagement and interaction, but it never seems to be a positive thing. It always seems to come from arguing with one another, making mean comments, people making fun of each other, and just downright hatred. It seems as though it feeds off negative emotions, which people almost always feel more passionate about.

I don’t know about you, but I’m exhausted from all the negativity. Even on my own pages, where I share cool videos about making soap and personal care products, and informational content to make you an educated skincare consumer, there’s always something negative that someone has to say.

And honestly? I don’t want to create content ā€œjust for views & clicks,ā€ I don’t want to argue with people on whether I’m qualified to share the information that I do. It’s so exhausting and quite frankly, makes me want to disappear from social media.

We are all human, and yes we disagree. That’s what makes everyone so unique! But we can do so in a civil, compassionate way.

I encourage you to make a positive, genuine comment today on someone’s social media content. Whether it’s a compliment, a fun memory, a question that you actually want to learn from… do it in a kind and thoughtful way. Be the bright spot in someone’s day ā˜€ļø

Local government is trying to zone for a data center close to home, in Codorus Township, PA.

If we don't speak up now, our valuable rural land and resources will be consumed. The environmental impacts and power needs are massive, and not something to be ignored.

Everyone should be aware that this is happening.

I will be attending the meeting and I hope you will join me.

If you want to read more about data centers and the effects on rural communities and the environment, I have plenty of resources to share, just send me a message!

PLEASE SHARE to spread the word about this public meeting.

In the world of skincare, ā€œpreservative-freeā€ is a popular marketing term. In personal care and cosmetic formulation, it’s a safety hazard. āš ļø

Whenever a product contains water, like face wash, liquid shampoo, or creams, it becomes a playground for mold, yeast, and bacteria.

Without an effective preservation system, the product can become unappealing & unsafe for your body.āŒ

šŸ”¬The science of preservation:
Some products don’t require preservation, such as those with high alcohol content or those outside the 4-10 pH range (like cold process soap!).

However, most products on the market must have a preservative to keep microbes from growing. Even some that are anhydrous (formulated without water), require a preservative because they are used in high-humidity environments, like your bathroom.

As a cosmetic formulator and scientist with microbiology experience, my highest priority is creating products that are safe for use. You wouldn’t want to use a lotion or face wash contaminated with microbes that could be potentially dangerous to your health.

I use effective preservative systems to ensure your products remain free from microbial growth and safe from the first use to the last, and I will never sacrifice your health to follow a marketing trend that ignores basic microbiology.

You can be sure that your products from Green Daisy Soaps will always be science-backed & safe 🫧

Do you have questions about cosmetic preservation? Let’s talk in the comments. šŸ‘‡
