Wrapping up this Toyota 3SGTE head. I’m quite impressed where it ended up, and should make a lot of steam!

Getting ready to wrap up this Toyota 3S-GTE cylinder head project.

This head uses 34.5 mm intake valves and 30 mm exhaust valves. Toyota designed these castings to be very efficient from the factory, but I’m extremely happy with where this one ended up.

I believe a custom-designed intake valve could unlock even more airflow and take the overall potential of this cylinder head to the next level.

Started working on the Toyota 3SGE/GTE head this past week. I flowed it stock to see where the starting point is and it’s quite impressive for a small four cylinder head. Intakes flowed 270cfm @ .450 lift and the exhaust flowed 186 @ .450 lift. These heads are going to receive + 1 mm larger valves on the intake and exhaust. I’ve already completed a prototype port on the intake and exhaust with the factory valve job and valve size, and it’s looking very promising. The larger valves and updated valve job should make the biggest gains on this, but packaged together with porting it’s going to be a mean factory head!

Finished up the 186 SBC heads and matching Winters intake. The heads received PBM Erson 2.02 intake and 1.600 exhaust valves, PAC Racing 1215 Beehive springs, R310 retainers and S111 spring locators. Cylinder heads flow 247-250 cfm @ .500 lift and peak at 270 cfm @ .800. They should pair nicely with the Howard’s 117222-16 camshaft.

ProFiler BBC 12° Hitman Cylinder Heads – CNC Is the Standard Now

If you’re looking at high-end big block Chevy cylinder heads, the ProFiler 12° Hitman lineup has evolved—CNC ported versions are now the standard, not the upgrade.

What used to be available as as-cast or CNC is now essentially a fully CNC-machined platform across the board, giving you consistency and repeatability that hand-finished or as-cast ports just can’t match anymore.

The current Hitman offerings are built around:

* Fully CNC intake and exhaust ports
* CNC-machined combustion chambers
* Spread-port, Pro Stock–inspired architecture
* 12° valve angle for improved efficiency and reduced shrouding

The Hitman X CNC heads are where things really get serious:

* ~490cc to 530cc fully CNC intake runners
* Up to 2.500” intake valves / ~1.850” exhaust
* Raised, round exhaust ports and optimized short turns
* Designed for 565+ CID and ~9000 RPM combinations

This isn’t an entry-level or “upgrade later” casting anymore. The Hitman is now a fully CNC race head right out of the box, built for serious naturally aspirated, nitrous, or boosted combinations.
