What a great day it’s been! Today was our ribbon cutting celebrating our 1 year anniversary of business here in Spearfish. We’re grateful for your support folks! Here’s to many more!

Our Ambassadors officially welcomed Finn Provisions to the Spearfish Chamber today with a ribbon cutting!

Finn Provisions is your go to stop for all things fly fishing. Owned by Pete Nielsen, who has turned his love for fly fishing into a business and lifestyle. A deep passion for the sport of fly fishing led him to opening a fly fishing shop with guided fishing tours based here in Spearfish. Pete has decades of experience and dedicates his time teaching others how to fly fish.

Pete and his talented guides lead anglers of all abilities through the Black Hills in order to have fun, learn how to catch fish, and to gain more knowledge about the sport of fly fishing. This unique experience allows for a completely new way for locals and visitors to explore the beautiful Black Hills.

Finn Provisions also hosts a fly tying night each Thursday at their shop where anyone is welcome to join and learn how to tie flies. These free weekly events help to spread the passion for fly fishing to the larger community.

Spearfish Creek has been fishing very well! We’ve been seeing good hatches of baetis, midges, and caddis starting to pop. Guide Calamity with this stout brown from in town. Book your trip, or grab some bugs!
