Good Morning Everyone!
First I want to apologize as I was not capable of posting for a while.
Now the reason why....
On August 11th, my small town of La Porte, Indiana, as well as many other areas was hit with a severe storm with winds over 100mph. We were later informed that it was a Durecho meaning straight.
My husband and I sustained damage when a tree snapped off and caused a bowling ball size hole in our roof. We are incredibly blessed it wasn't nearly as bad as some of the damages around us.
Because of that tree and the hole, we also have internal water damage to one of our spare rooms (my craft room). Again we are blessed it wasn't worse, but it is pretty significant.
We didn't have power for quite some time due to Internet issues on top of all of that.
We received power back at 8pm on Monday, August 17th. I have a lot to do in the room and I haven't been able to do any of my sewing. MAYBE by tomorrow afternoon as I'll have 9 weeks of back to back events beginning August 29th in which I'll make a separate post with that information as well as a slight change of an event.
To those of my friends local to me, how long were you without power?
