What’cha Reading Wednesday!

These are the 3 I’m reading right now! How about you?

“Same Time Next Summer” by Annabel Monaghan is my fun, summer romance I have going right now. It’s about Sam, who is engaged to Jack, but is visiting her summer home, where her childhood boyfriend Wyatt is also visiting his summer home next door. Right now she is doing all she can to avoid him. But you know she won’t be able to, so it will be fun to see where this goes!

“Sea of Charms” by Sarah Beth Durst is a whimsical fantasy that I am reading in advance right now. It comes out the end of July and I am reading it to see if she’s the type of author I want to carry when I open my bookmobile. And she is! It’s light, whimsical, like I said, and fun to escape into the story. It’s about a sailor, in a way, Marin, who goes from island to island to deliver packages, supplies, etc. On the way she picks up a sea serpent, a magical bush and the man who is going to be the man of her dreams…I just know it!

And “Mad Mabel” by Sally Hepworth. I am actually listening to this one, and I love it. There is the younger version of Mabel, who grew up in Australia so the narrator has an Australian accent. The older version of Mabel lives in England and this narrator has an older English accent. Older Mabel, or Elsie as she is known, is hilariously ornery. Word got out that Elsie murdered someone when she was younger and is making a crime podcast with some young adults. She had such a rough childhood, I am interested to know what happened and why I happened. I love the story and the characters already.

Now I was serious, I want to know what you’re reading, or what you’ve recently read. Share away!

Happy Monday!

What better way to start a Monday than a quote about books by The Man himself, Walt Disney?

I hope you have an amazing start to a fabulous week 🙌🏻 ….and that you have plans to visit Disney soon, lol

Have you read a book where love is portrayed beautifully in all aspects? That is what this book did for me.

It showed it in tragedy, in hope, in longing, in friendship, in frustration.

It showed me love is everywhere.

Kristin Harmel did a fabulous job of brining the magic of Paris into a book of 7 different love stories. All entangled and all beautiful in their own ways.

This should be a definite read for you this summer! Coming out July 26th

It’s Release Day for this fun summer read!

5 Stars, Baby! I loved it!

Noelle is this cute college aged woman who is trying to make enough money to finish college, so she has taken on two jobs: one at a local bookstore and the other as a for-hire bridesmaid! How fun of a job would that be, first of all?

Jeremiah comes from a wealthy family and is struggling trying to feel good enough for them, and feels like he needs to prove himself, especially because of some past decisions in his life.

Jeremiah is being pressured to visit his family for a weekend, and to bring up his made up girlfriend. After meeting at the bookstore and realizing that Noelle works as a bridesmaid for hire, he proposes that she works for him as a girlfriend! And thankfully she does it!

I loved this story because of how accepting and loving his family was to Noelle and to Jeremiah. Of course there is sibling friction, but the communication and the understanding in the story just made it sweet. And then the sweetness of the friendship and the relationship between Noelle and Jeremiah topped the cake for me.

I would recommend this book for adults, as it is spicy and there is swearing throughout the book.

Seriously had the funnest time at a local event today! I was able to meet quite a few local authors, and some that flew in to visit!

Almost all of these books are on kindle, the authors are all amazing people, so go find the books and read them! I so wish I had a good enough memory to remember to take pics of everyone 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

My goal is to have an Utah Authors section when I start my bookmobile! Getting to know our local authors is one of my goals

For the record, I do know how to use proper grammar 😂

Who has read/listened to The Calamity Club yet?

Folks! The narrators used are superb! 🤌🏻 Just cream of the crop!

If you haven’t started it yet, do it. You won’t regret it! Kathryn Stockett is the author and she wrote “The Help.” Just like there are unexpected twists in “The Help,” this is the same. She has made powerful, independent women in all types of living situations.

I can’t say enough good about it…in my southern accent 😉
