Today we’re celebrating the man who started it all and continues to inspire us every day.

More than 20 years ago, our dad started beekeeping with a single hive in the backyard. Today, that one hive has grown into eight apiaries across the Farmington Valley—but he’s still our head beekeeper and the heart of Hilltop Apiaries.

It all started with one hive… on Hilltop Drive.

Our father started his backyard gentleman’s farm with a few chickens. Next came the goats. Then the bees. What began with one hive over 10 years ago has grown into a thriving Connecticut honey business rooted in ethical beekeeping, quality, and sweetness in every jar.
