We are back online, we have power and tomorrow we will catch up on orders.

Huge shout out to all the line men and tree trimmers in the area that worked and are still working to restore the power.

Also a huge shout out to Overbrook Quilt Connection for always having fabric I need, and being open to help me replenish and replace what I lost.

Day #3 with no power. I miss my sewing machine.

Orders are backing up, and I am so sorry! I will ship as soon as things are up and running.

The goal right now is to conserve power and run only essentials.

Last night was one of those nights that changes your perspective.

Around midnight, a tornado came through our area. Looking at these pictures today, I am struggling to find the words. Thankful, grateful, and blessed don't even begin to cover it.

The damage at my house was minimal compared to what so many others experienced. I lost some fabric, dealt with flooding, and have plenty of cleanup ahead of me. But fabric can be replaced. Possessions can be replaced. Even houses can be rebuilt. Lives cannot.

As I look around at the destruction, I can't help but feel that an angel was watching over me last night. Seeing the path this storm took, I am convinced that one of the reasons my home is still standing is because my neighbors' homes and trees took the brunt of the wind before it reached me. While I am incredibly grateful for that protection, my heart also hurts for those who were not as fortunate.

Today I'm counting my blessings a little more carefully. I'm thankful for a roof over my head, for the people I love, for the neighbors checking on each other, and for the first responders, utility crews, and everyone working tirelessly to help our community recover. In times like these, communities are often carried forward by neighbors helping neighbors and people coming together when it matters most.

Please keep everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers. Some families woke up this morning facing losses that are hard to comprehend.

Today, my heart is full of gratitude. Things can be replaced. People cannot. ❤️🙏
