Woke up to the first order from the Boundary Waters Collection this morning
This series feels especially personal to me because it’s inspired by my own photos and experiences in the Boundary Waters - a place that has brought me peace, inspiration, and perspective for years.

Thank you so much for supporting handmade art, this new collection, and the partnership with Save the Boundary Waters.

I can’t wait to send this one off.

For years, the Boundary Waters has been one of the places that resets my soul. The quiet. The water. The sunsets that somehow never look real.

This piece was created from that feeling - a calm evening paddle as the light fades across the lake.

It’s also the beginning of a new series inspired by my own Boundary Waters photos and experiences.

I’m incredibly excited to share that proceeds from this piece will be donated to Save the Boundary Waters to help protect and preserve the wilderness that inspired this design.

Working on something really special this week.

I’ve started turning some of my own Boundary Waters photographs into layered wood art pieces inspired by places that mean a lot to me.

I’m excited about where this collection is headed.

This weekend was such an exciting start to outdoor show season.

I sold 68 layered wood pieces this weekend.

Every design is created, cut, painted, stained, glued, packed, and hauled to shows by me - so seeing that many pieces head off to new homes honestly means the world.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared kind words, picked out gifts, decorated your cabins and homes, or supported handmade art in any way this weekend.

I came home completely exhausted… but incredibly grateful.

My current situation.

New layers, new experiments, old favorites, and pieces in every stage of the process.

This part always looks a little chaotic… but it’s also where the best ideas happen.

This is the part you don’t always see.

The layers don’t just happen on a workbench - they happen in the middle of real life.

Kids coming and going.
Busy days.
Late nights.
Half-finished pieces waiting on the table.

Somewhere in between all of that, the work comes together.

Grateful to be a mom, and to be building something that fits into this life.

Happy Mother’s Day

No show for me this weekend, which means I'm busy preparing for the next one.

The workbench is full, paint is everywhere, and there are about ten different ideas in progress at the same time.

Honestly one of my favorite parts of this whole process is watching a pile of separate layers slowly turn into finished artwork.

Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend - whether you’re heading to the lake, fishing opener, or just soaking up a little spring weather.
