Hey Shug! Well that is a wrap! Pink Llama Soapery storefront is officially closed. Now a short break begins as I prepare for my move back to Alaska and preps for the Alaska State Fair.

Thank you so much West Plains for allowing my small business to be a part of your community in such a short time span. I met a lot of great people who have become friends.

Good morning Shug. I wanted to jump on here and clear a few things up. A few of you seem to think that Pink Llama Soapery is going out of business. Shug that is not the case. There is a big difference between retirement and going out of business. I am choosing myself and my mental health for once over a store front.

Some of you who have never ran your own business have no clue what goes on behind the scenes of running an actual store. It takes a lot of your time and it can be stressful when you are running it by yourself. I’ve been at this for 10 years. Pink Llama Soapery is stepping down from brick and mortar and will continue to have an online presence until I decide that I no longer want to make soap.

I hope this clears up any confusion for some of
you. Don’t spread rumors, gossip or assume what you think you may know. If you have any question and want to know more, just stop by and I will tell you.

Hey Shug! Guess what! Pink Llama Soapery will be representing Seldovia, Alaska at the 2026 Alaska State Fair! This is a big deal for me! This will be the biggest event I have ever been a vendor at. They are expected to have over 300K people attending the State Fair this year and little ol me and my small business will be a part of it! The next 4 months will be super crazy for me with packing, traveling over 2200 miles to get home and start cranking out these unique soaps I have planned for this event. But you know what Shug? God’s got me. If it wasn’t for him, this would not be possible and I give him all the glory and praise! I plan to share this little adventure with you all and continue to pop on and say hi! Hey Shug! As many of you know, I am retiring and closing the storefront. This decision was not an easy decision because the community has welcomed me and supported me in so many ways. Whether it was coming in and buying or just coming in to say hi, you all have made me one happy soap maker. BUT, I am mentally and physically exhausted. I have been going nonstop for many years and I am ready to “go somewhere and sit down” as my mom would tell me for so many years. So retiring was the best option for me. It’s time to take days slow, work on my mental health and enjoy the rest of the time I have here on earth. I will still make soap but more focused on what I love about soap making. I will continue to have my website.

Speaking of still making soap, Shug, Pink Llama Soapery received news yesterday that we are an approved vendor for the 2026 Alaska State Fair! This will be the biggest event I have ever been a vendor at in all my years of making soap. Over 300k people will see my artwork in soap and I am scared, nervous and excited. But this is a blessing that I have prayed for!

If you have gift certificates, please come by and use them or you can save them for when the website will be back up and running in September. There are still a lot of bath treats left so come on in here and spend your money! Summer is around the corner and you need to get your skin supple and glowing!!
