🌿✨ Market week is here! ✨🌿

And this one is extra special because it’s right in our own backyard.

This Saturday, Moss Mom Gardens will be at Mill Creek Handmade from 11 AM–4 PM in Mill Creek Town Center! If you’ve been following along online, this is your chance to see the gardens in person, peek into tiny moss worlds, and discover all the little details hidden beneath the canopy.

We’ll have dragons, fairy gardens, woodland relics, skull gardens, gnomes, foraged treasures, and brand-new creations making their debut.

It still amazes me that what started with a handful of moss and a dream has grown into something I get to share with my own community.

Come say hi, wander awhile, and find a little piece of the forest to take home. 🌲💚

Today’s Mossy Moment 🌿

The forest writes in slow motion.

A fallen strip of birch bark becomes a map of time—punctuated by tiny boreholes, softened by rain, and reclaimed by moss one emerald tuft at a time. What once sheltered a living tree now shelters entire miniature worlds.

Nothing in the forest is wasted.
Decay becomes habitat.
Loss becomes foundation.
The story simply changes authors.

Moss is nature’s phoenix in slow motion.

Some eggs hatch birds.

Some hatch legends.

Hidden within a porcelain shell embossed with blooming flowers, a solid pewter dragon emerges from a bed of moss, fern, lichen, and woodland treasures. Dew gathers along the shell walls like morning mist as this ancient guardian awakens beneath the forest canopy.

I love pieces that feel discovered rather than made—like something unearthed from a forgotten corner of an enchanted forest.

This one-of-a-kind moss garden combines natural textures with the weight and permanence of a solid pewter dragon, creating a tiny world where delicate blooms and wild magic meet.

The forest keeps strange little altars if you know where to look.

A silver circle swaying from a rain-dark branch,
catching light between the leaves like a tiny moon caught in orbit.
Even the maple canopy seems to lean inward around it—
as if the tree itself decided this object was worth holding.

In the Pacific Northwest, moss doesn’t just grow on things.
It slowly initiates them into the landscape.
Metal becomes relic.
Leather becomes story.
Branches become architecture for memory.
