Shearing here on the farm for fall 2024 is taking place november 8th some time before noon(we are the shearers second stop of the day)I could use a few extra hands to prep the barn before hand and handle the sheep during shearing to and from their place in line, if anyone is interested I could pay you in wool and snacks. The time it takes to shear is not long, less than 30 minutes it’s the prep and skirting of the wool afterwards and the handling of the animals that is the difficult part. It is very labor intensive so you must be ready to help grab the reins of a 300lb ewe and you must be comfortable around large stubborn dirty animals.

It’s a really fun part of the year, it’s all about the changing of the seasons, shedding the nasty coat from the summer and making way for new things to come.

It's hard for me to ask for help so I thought it might make more sense to offer something else in return.

By the power invested in me I will be growing tulips in my basement this winter. If you love flowers or know of someone that loves flowers this is an awesome way to get them. I will also be supplying my main markets with Flowers in addition to this Flower Subscription.

Here are the details:
12 weeks of flowers over the course of 4 months, you choose your pick up location and the weeks you want to receive flowers. It will start February 1stand go until May 31st.

Each bouquet of tulips can include a gift message and will have at minimum 8 stems of a unique variety.

We are sorry we have been out touch….me and the gang made the decision to take a road trip back east the end of the summer, we broke down along the way and it was a very tiring long trip and we lost work because it. We made the hard decision while being back east that we wanted to try and see if we could give our homeland of Vermont another go of calling in home after 15 years in California. That’s what we are working on now, securing a home. it’s been more than 90 days since we have seen a California sunrise and we know we will always be a bicoastal family but after the last 24 months we are trying to gravitate towards the life of least resistance and without a home in California anymore and after so many fire evacuations and sleepless nights of living in our car and health scares this is what we need to do to get our feet back on the ground and re-charge. We will be posting about spring and summer craft-antique faires in the near future until then we will be dreaming of soaking in this tub until spring comes.
