Carson Demers Workshop - Will This Yarn Hurt My Hands?

Saturday, December 5
10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Carson is a life-long crafter, and a physical therapist who specialized in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and ergonomics.

👉 The Workshop:
Would you like to make any yarn comfortable to work with? Would you like to know how to choose a yarn substitute and to get the same result as the original yarn?

You’ll learn ways to take objective measurements that will inform you how a yarn will behave in your hands. You’ll learn about fiber characteristics and yarn construction to determine how comfortable a yarn will be to work with; and you’ll learn how to tame a difficult yarn into one that is comfortable for you to work with.

Skill Level: All levels of experience. Must be able to independently cast on (any method), and perform knit and purl stitch. This is not a ‘how to knit’ class.

Materials: Students need to bring needles sizes US 4, US 7, US 9 or 10 (3 different sizes).

Yarn will be provided.
