Designer Lollipops

I started making lollipops for fun! I am a very adventurous person and I love to learn and explore many hobbies. I am a mother of 3 sweet little boys and a wife of an amazing and loving husband who has supported me in all my new hobbies and exploration of talent. One day I was poking around on Pinterest and saw a beautiful piece of lavender placed inside a lollipop. I was intrigued and I began res

earching and experimenting with different objects that could be edible and placed inside lollipops. In November 2012, I opened Designer Lollipop on Etsy, hoping to sell just a few edible image lollipops. In one month I sold hundreds, leaving me flabbergasted and excited all at once. I started my adventure with images and seeing the beauty in objects when I took on Photography in 2010. I have an eye for simplicity. I love taking a moment of someone’s life and turning it into valuable keepsakes. At the time, I did not know that this was the gift that would make me the Designer of my new age Lollipops. Lollipop making for me began sloppy and let's face it, most nights I was hot mess with hard candy stuck to my shirt and face! I spent many long nights perfecting my recipes and it took me time to learn how to work with my molds. Each piece is poured independent of each other and the image in laid in place by hand. They are then hand polished to give them sparkle and clarity. The images are 100% edible and printed in edible ink. The process is unique and takes long hours. From start to finish it takes about 6-7 hours to do 300 lollipops! Now fast forward 1 year and Designer Lollipop's candy girls are working around the clock trying to keep up with Handmade lollipops. Thanks to viral blogging and some high end clients, our lollipops are being handed out at events such as: Martha Stewart's Fashion week party, Nasa's corporate events and the Toronto Blue Jays Gala. If that weren't enough excitement, in February of this year Whoopi Goldberg placed an undercover order from out Etsy shop and took them into her co-worker friends. They loved them so much that they were handed out as the #1 Valentines Day gift on their Valentines Day segment!
