The funny thing about refinishing furniture is that when friends see something they think you should redo, they bring it over! I am always grateful. ♥️

This low credenza has so many possibilities.. it can hold a television in the living room, sit at the end of a bed for additional storage, is even certainly strong enough to have in an entry way to sit on and put shoes on! I love the lattice inlay on top, although it shows the 50+ years of use I was able to sand it down, stain it and seal to a beautiful vintage appeal. The dark navy blue body of it is simply stunning, and can easily be a neutral addition. Two LARGE, deep drawers on either side.

This dresser is the perfect size for just about any room, with the right amount of storage! The tiger wood is just stunning with crinoline paint lightly distressed.

A cottage, boho styled room, farmhouse, or beach theme would all benefit from this complimentary dresser.

As someone who refinishes furniture, I sometimes see pieces and think, “pfffftttttt! That’s easy!” 🙄

Then I get home and start looking into it better and think, “sh*t. What was I seeing?!?!?!” Enter my latest project:

This vintage commode almost very literally fell apart as I pulled the drawers out, the drawers were holding it square. 😳 The doors on the bottom were not attached to the piece at all.

I sanded it down and found the legs rotted, the top had a HUGE split in it, and the drawers were no longer square. So I stacked it all up and put it in the garage because I was mad. 🤷🏻‍♀️

2 months later:

I repaired the legs, painted the entire piece licorice black, made and attached a walnut top, added new hardware, casters for ease of moving, and a towel bar for the side... I am loving how it turned out. Unfortunately I put so much time and money into completing this that I can’t sell it for any type of profit BUT, I have a place for it!!! It’s perfect for the backyard to have a little storage for BBQ tools, surface for entertainment (if we get to do that again), and obviously decor! ♥️

It has definitely been way too long since I shared a project! So here ya go!

A friend asked that I refinish this little, absolutely adorable desk that has been in her family... I was nervous and completely honored all at once.

Stripped it all down, painted it white, distressed it a little, gave it a light touch with brown wax, and sealed it... 😍 the wood is so old some of it didn’t want to behave, but I feel like it added to the overall look and I’m super happy with how it turned out. The stripped and restained wood is seriously stunning.

On to the next... which is a redo.... x3!!!! 🤪

Feels good to get moving through my mound of projects!

Simplistic Beauty.〰️

This sweet piece is a perfect bedside table, couch side table, entryway table... on and on.

Perfect addition to any farmhouse, cottage or beach-type decor.

Painted a pure white, ever so lightly distressed, and waxed to a smooth protected finish. The drawers, door, and top all stripped and bleached followed with a protective wax for durability.

This console is simplistic beauty... chalk painted in a bright white, distressed, and waxed for a beautifully smooth finish. Openings perfect for baskets or display, 3 door cabinets each have an adjustable shelf inside. The rounded feet are a perfect touch.

As a TV cabinet, it has the cord openings in the back.

This piece is solid wood and will fit perfectly in a farmhouse style, beachy style... pretty much any style!

I always wonder what kind of story a piece had before I acquired it... this one fascinated me. It’s so sturdy, and quaint. I love that the original hardware is in tact, is beautiful, and is newly restored now. The wood is stunning... so much so that I didn’t want to restain it, I actually BLEACHED it!!😱 Painted the body a crisp white, lightly distressed it, and waxed it all for protection.

The drawers are decoupaged with a print of old French paper. Vintage wooden casters on the feet allow for ease of movement. Mirror is removable.

6 Drawer antique, tall dresser. I absolutely LOVE the original wooden casters on the bottom - they move easily. This cutie has been painted with a gorgeous blue tone, with the tiger oak drawers and top sanded, stained, and sealed. Lightly distressed and original hardware has been refinished. Perfect for any room in the house .

I will never understand the 80’s and 90’s reasoning for all of the rounded corners... but it is amazing what some paint,...

I will never understand the 80’s and 90’s reasoning for all of the rounded corners... but it is amazing what some paint, wallpaper, and scrubbing can do!

This bookshelf is so sturdy and well made, a little updating and now it’s back and ready for its next stage of life - a teachers classroom!

3 coats of , 3 coats of Smoke glaze (same company), gray and white plaid wallpaper to the back. 💙

This little dresser is the perfect storage piece in a living room, as a bedside table, even in a dining room... it has a beautiful, naturally aged wood top for display of fun things.

Painted in a soft grey with an ebony protective glaze over the piece, matte black k***s, newly sanded, stained, and sealed with 3 coats of polyurethane on the top.

Such a beautiful, simple little dresser for tons of needs.

This 100+ year old dresser is full of charm, character, and uses. Although I tried, I was unable to save the 2 bottom drawers, so it was all trimmed out and gives ample storage, while the top 3 drawers are all intact, slide easily, have a faint inlay line, and are strong.

There are some wood issues (as pictured) that I have sealed to prevent further chipping. The body is painted a light grey, sealed with 3 coats of sealer, with a grey and white buffalo check wallpaper against the back. The 3 drawers and top were stripped, stained, and sealed with 3 coats of polyurethane - there are some color differences in the wood due to age. New k***s were added as well!
