STRESS is buzzing all around us right now, and that’s not even including what you may have going on in your life personally. -
If you’re feeling it, the overwhelm and anxiety, than your body is too. -
When we live from this place of constant response (sympathetic nervous system / fight or flight mode), our body works in overdrive: Our heart rate increases, or digestive system suffers, and our immune system isn’t able to keep up. -
The best thing you can do now is NOTHING. Give yourself a break, even if it’s just five minutes of D E E P and nourishing breaths. The simple act of a long and juicy exhale offers our nervous system the chance to settle down and our body to reset (tapping into the parasympathetic / rest + digest mode). -
So pause, emphasize your exhales, visualize your most perfect and peaceful self, and try to take one thing off of your to do list. -
