ICYMI: A major milestone was reached on the East County AWP Project with installation of the final 3,500-foot stretch of wastewater pipeline last month.

Crews used horizontal directional drilling (HDD), a trenchless method that minimizes surface disruption, to install the pipeline near Lake 1 at Santee Lakes and connect it to the East Mission Gorge Pump Station at State Route 52 and Mission Gorge Road.

This marks a major step toward project completion.
