Texas Golf fun fact:
The oldest public golf course in Texas is Brackenridge Park Golf Course in San Antonio. It was designed by A.W. Tillinghast and opened in 1916.
Brackenridge Golf Course hosted the first Texas Open Golf Tournament in 1922. The winner of the first Texas Open was Bob MacDonald (pictured) with a score of 281 for 72 holes.
Brackenridge Golf Course is a "must play" destination for those who enjoy Texas golf lore.
