About the shirt: the artwork for this was inspired by my sword/trophy from my overall at the 2018 Iron Wars. This project took quite a while as it was done solely in pen on an 18x24 sheet. I was so proud of this drawing, I refused to downsize it to fit my normal shirt dimensions. This is why the shirt is a bit more expensive than my other tees, as this shirt allowed me to print a much larger area to give the sword the love it deserves. The artwork is matched perfectly with the saying on the front: Pray for Peace, Prepare for War.

The shirt itself is very soft and stretchy, more so than the Bella Canvas material shirts. I’m wearing an XL because I’m an absolute unit.

Received the opportunity from Seth, president of UTSA powerlifting, to do an updated/modern version of Rowdy for a new shirt!

This was a very fun commission. I loved working with vibrant copic markers to help Rowdy pop off the page! Excited to see it once they get it on a shirt!

On this Thanksgiving, I have abundant blessings and endless things to be thankful for. 🙏🏼

And even if it sounds cliché, I am so thankful for my “clients.” I put that in quotes because many of them become so much more to me. They become friends, and then they become family.

A relationship becomes established when I’m approached and TRUSTED with a goal. I feel that is an aspect that isn’t touched on enough when it comes to fitness training.

Some clients I’ve been fortunate enough to work with for the better part of a decade. Take Sarah and Cheryl for example. I can still remember about 8 years ago when I first met them. Sarah wanted to strengthen her shoulders for high school cheer and Cheryl was wanting to get back into fitness. I even remember the first exercise I put them through! (The TRX high row). Little did I know the laughs, tears, and good times we would share down the road. 😊 I’m so thankful to have had the pleasure of being their trainer and their friend since our first meeting, along with all of my other wonderful clients.

And yes, this was taken today! Often times on holidays, I don’t want to be the reason a client didn’t get to workout, so I make time to see clients in the morning before family time. I always make the joke “I don’t think my boss will give me the day off.” 😂

Good luck to everyone competing in Iron Wars this weekend! ⚔️

My secret art project that I hinted at a while back was the shirt design for the competition. Unfortunately it didn’t get finished in time (not on me, I’m never late with a commission teehee) so you’ll just have to wait until next year I suppose. Disappointing but stuff happens!

Here is the finished product and the progress on it. I was proud to incorporate Iron Wars within the blade and TSS down the handle.
