On June 7th, The Philippines was hit by a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake, the strongest one since 1976. The island that my mom is from (Mindinao) was hit the hardest. The destruction and devastation have been widespread. They need our support!

You'll always have my heart, Saint Paul. 💖 I walked into both Art In The Hollow and Grand Old Day with full jewelry displays, and I walked away with the same number of empty slots after each day. I am also considerably lighter on art pieces and mineral specimens. I have a lot of work to do in order to replenish my inventory, but I am so unbelievably grateful to everyone that stopped by. 🫶🏼 It's been a trying year in so many ways (including for my business), and it means so much to have people show up and love my work enough to take it home with them, especially returning folks. Saint Paul has always been exceptional when it comes to this. Love you all! ✨

I am becoming quite fond of doing this new (new to me, at least) thing that I am now calling wire tracing. 💛❤️ It seems to work best on stones that are understated/don't have a lot going on. I feel that it adds just a little touch of depth and texture. I really like how it turned out on this mookaite. I have always felt that mookaite is a wildly underrated stone. Don't get me wrong: Agates and opals will always win me over first. That being said, the world of jasper has a lot to offer too. ✨

🔥 All Fired Up 🔥

I did something different with this one. I usually make a point of putting the absolute bare minimum amount of wire over the face of the stone because I want it to be the true star of the show. This time, I decided to use the wire to frame the fiery parts of this gorgeous Fire Agate. I can already tell that letting go of this one is going to hurt. 😅🥹

Nothing beats sunlight when it comes to photographing stones, so I will often drag my pieces out into the wild to be put under the lens. However, this places us at the mercy of the elements. In this case, it was a strong gust of wind, but insects and and off-leash dogs have also been known to cause some interesting bloopers. Rain and gray days will often leave me photo-less, and I have also been known to sit outside and wait (im)patiently for a clusters of clouds to finish their saunter through the sunlight. And yet, none of it has stopped me from doing it this way, all because I want that specific sunny shot. Artistic or stubborn? 😅🤳🏻✨🪨✨☀️
