Patridge Blade front sights are more inherently accurate than beads.

Point of impact is not covered by the bead.

Competition Bullseye shooters use posts or aperture fronts, never beads.

Beads are fantastic for hunting. Both have their place.

Named after Eugene E. Patridge in the late 1890’s, not after a small game bird or a pop music, bell bottom wearing, singing group with their own TV show in the 70’s.

Ran a batch of these last night for a special project. I love making stuff….

Still missing Africa…. Lots going on and busy as can be but my mind keeps going back.

Skinner EXPRESS with .125” aperture and a 1/16 bead front. I can still see the sight picture and the brain pulling the trigger as everything lined up.

How many of you are using the Garmin Chronograph? I’ve had Chronographs for 35 years, big, small, complicated and simple. Even one of the Orange square flat models that worked pretty well right up until it didn’t and we could t get it fixed. They all worked but all had quirks that took away from time shooting.

Enter the Garmin Xero C1 Pro…. This thing is amazing, simple, small, light, and easy to use. I was able to take it out of the box, set it up and go right to work with it. No instructions needed, very intuitive and everything makes sense.

But what to carry it in??? These are not an inexpensive unit so we need something just as intuitive and simple to protect it. 🤠💡

Lightly padded, rugged Cordura, excellent stitching and made right here in the US of A. ✅

Installed a these Sights for a customer a while back.One of for a 405 and the other a 30-06.

We do a few of these each month.

This is a straightforward installation but I do recommend a milling machine for rigidity. Use standard center finding methods, use the sight as a template to locate the rear hole location, then drill two #31 size holes 1.3” center to center, .130” deep.

Tap the holes for 6-48 screws.

Install the rear sight.

I’m over the top happy with my personal 1895’s set up this way. Repeatedly proven in the field….
