A Difficult Goodbye and a New Chapter
Many people have been kind enough to say how great it is to see me back training horses and spending more time with my boys. The truth is, while Iām grateful for the chance to return to what I love, the reality is much harder. Iām working longer hours than ever, and ironically, Iām seeing less of my family than when I ran the shop.
For over 10 years, Equis-Mart was more than a businessāit was a community. Rancho Murieta and MEC were the heart of that community, hosting the dressage shows where we met so many of you. In October 2024, I received a letter from MECās management informing me that Equis-Mart was no longer welcome at their events. No explanation, no opportunity for discussionājust a cold, ānon-negotiable, final decision.ā
The way this was handled was not only deeply disappointing, but completely unprofessional. After more than a decade of showing up, building relationships, and serving the equestrian community with pride, to be dismissed without reason or dialogue was devastating.
This decision has had an unimaginable impact on our familyāemotionally, financially, and personally.
But weāre not giving up. Equis-Mart is still here. Our online store remains open, and weāre proud to continue welcoming you at our storefront in Wilton, located at Pacific Equestrian Center. Your supportāwhether in person or onlineāmeans the world to us.
To our loyal customers and friends: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Equis-Mart brought us so many cherished memories, and while this chapter has changed unexpectedly, weāre doing our best to keep serving this incredible community.
With gratitude,
Jessica Naten
