Dad, the patron saint of the unwanted but still useful, spent a lifetime collecting tools, sporting equipment & other interesting items. He passed away last year.

Dad was a hunter and outside of Bow Season, his hunting grounds were rummage sales, auctions and the clearance aisle which was irresistible to him.

Growing up, when he was not working 2nd shift, mid-week auctions were Daddy-Daughter time (until I was 18 - then it was Iowa Riverboats). I remember riding in the front seat of the truck, looking at the listings from the Daily Gazette at both the one he circled and what he underlined. I would ask what caught his eye and questions about the sales we weren't going to. In my Lane Cedar Chest I have my first Bid Number and I still have the antique desk I won West of town.

I am going through the sometimes painful, sometimes hilarious process of sorting through the vast array of Jim's Things to liquidate his estate. Please check this page often for specific items and pop-up sales
