We have BIRD SEED at the barn. Ends up its not the kind you put in a feeder, but it’s named that because the are small 5/8” pebbles that lock together when they compact. Birds are known to eat them because birds need stones in their guts to process food. Look what you could learn from Darryl if only you were here! I am so glad to have great people support us. From inside the shop to outside on a beautiful, brisk fall day!

WEDNESDAY NOON UPDATE! Progress - really deep long hole now in place. Look under the digger - nothing but a hole!!
It only gets better from here! So leave it to our amazing customers - up from the road comes a gentleman dressed in a suit and carrying a machine case. Inside is HIS Singer Merritt 1872. He does all the sewing and mending for the household, and he heard accolades about the repair shop at peace & Applique. A digger and a dump truck weren’t going to stop him from getting his machine in for service! Then my favorite road warrior - who passes from Chicago to St Louis often, call again from the bottom of the hill on the road. She just couldn’t miss a chance to stop by. So we kinda have a parking lot around the wagon and the corn field. She found some great fabrics and showed her friend around the shop. Off she went on her trip home.

The BLOOMINGTON BARN is getting a water main in the morning!! We have had a couple of exciting days learning where all the water is going and now it’s time to get things fixed. TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, our driveway will be blocked until 1PM. And you know that’s if things go as planned - which I am SURE they will! Wish us luck - and see you in the afternoon!
